The boat, Amsterdam 2014
the boat was originally built before 1940 by a Dutch company in Durgerdam, which no longer existis.
In 2015 the idea for a new design
was proposed and the settlements for the Piraat Museum started. Contemporary Pirate project was written and accepted to be finalized within four EU nations.
During over a year of projecting and working, in the summer of 2016 the boat finally got wheels. In order to make space for the new identity, the engine was removed and the keel reduced.
later on, after some modifications, the boat participated in many Sagitta Race in the Netherlands.
The then captain was the first to modify the structure in order to sail, adapting the keel and implanting the mast for sea navigation.
Later on it was sold and abandoned a few times, passing hand by hand till was parked in the spot where we met for the first time: it was love at first sight.
September 2016 knowing that the conditions of the boat were unreliable to get back into water, the boat was placed in a safe environment. The cultural space and the interior works started...
Once the outer surface was restored with experts, the mast with the new wiring was raised and with all the pirates gathered so far, we celebrated.
Nowadays, with the fresh wind of 2017 we opened our Call for Pirates and in the upcoming spring the work in the interior will be finalized...
The tick wood rescue boat for transoceanic ships landed in Amsterdam only after 2011.
Its particularity is the old Diesel engine that makes this model the: Captain crew’s rescue boat.

and cruised deep water,
possibly having never
really touched it.
